Overview of HEP-1

HEP-1 Human Ezrin Peptide is a synthetic 14-amino-acid peptide. It is derived from a functional region of the cellular protein ezrin. Researchers have observed that HEP-1 may show a potential role in immunomodulatory and antiviral effects.

HEP-1 is also being studied by various researchers for its possible influence on immune-signaling pathways. A few studies have demonstrated that HEP-1 may also support antiviral defense mechanisms. Moreover, it may potentially modulate inflammatory responses in preclinical models.

Researchers find HEP-1 as an interesting compound as it is involved in studies related to viral infection and immune-response modulation.

What is the Working Mechanism of HEP-1 in Research Models?

Researchers have observed that, in different experimental models, HEP-1 may work by regulating immune and inflammatory signaling.

HEP-1 may modulate the expression and activity of key cytokines TNF-a, IL-6, and IL-1B. The aforementioned expressions may play a vital role in inflammation and cellular stress in preclinical models.

HEP-1 allows researchers to explore its possible effects on immune balance and tissue responses in research models. Researchers also study its downstream molecular cascades, involved in inflammation control.

Handling and Storage of HEP-1

Handling and storing the HEP-1 is important for long-term research use. Here are the guidelines to follow:

Researchers have suggested that HEP-1 powder can be stored at -80°C for 2 years (long-term) and -20°C for 1 year (short-term)

Always reseal the vials promptly to avoid moisture.
Do not expose to a humid environment
Use carefully in lab settings
Wear proper gloves and eyewear when dealing with this peptide
Make sure to check the airport and customs regulations when considering travelling with HEP-1
Do not use HEP-1 for laboratory research purposes after the expiration date shown on the packaging.

Research Application of HEP-1Â

HEP-1 is being researched by various medical researchers in labs for the following potential applications.

Researchers use HEP-1 to study its potential to regulate cytokine expression and influence immune responses.
Used in research settings to understand its role in protecting cells from oxidative stress.
Used to study the impact on genes involved in immune signaling, cellular stress responses, and tissue regeneration in research models.
